WindowsTV
Browser games, tools, and experiments

Original projects from WindowsTV.

Hey everyone, Ryan from WindowsTV here. Welcome to my website, I’m actively building fun projects and would love to share them with you. One of the featured projects is ScummJS, an in-browser point-and-click adventure game engine inspired by classic SCUMM games. Development is ongoing, but an early demo is currently available for visitors interested in testing new features and providing feedback. In addition to ScummJS, you’ll find a variety of other projects covering web development, automation, programming tools, and experimental software. Whether you’re interested in game development, browser technologies, or Python programming, there’s plenty to explore. Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoy discovering what I’m working on.

What lives here

Each project listed here is written or curated by WindowsTV. The goal is to share useful experiments, explain what each build does, and keep the page valuable even when a demo is not actively changing that week.

JavaScript Browser demo Adventure tools

ScummJS

ScummJS is a web experiment for building and playing simple point-and-click adventure scenes directly in the browser. The current room test demonstrates scene loading, clickable areas, and the early feel of a browser-native adventure engine.

The demo is intended for playtesting and feedback. Future updates may expand the room format, add clearer authoring tools, and document how scenes are assembled.

Python In planning Tooling

ScummyPy

Scummypy is a (Humongous Entertainment) SCUMM like game engine built with the Pygame library in Python. Its primary purpose is to help me learn Python, might as well make a game while so.

This section will grow as the project takes shape. Expected notes include setup steps, example scripts, file-format experiments, and short writeups on what the tool can and cannot do.
